How to Install Lightroom Presets for Lightroom Classic (Mac & Windows)
Method 1: Manual Installation (Mac & Windows)
- Open Adobe Lightroom Classic on your desktop.
- Go to:
- Mac: Lightroom (Top Menu) → Preferences → Presets tab.
- Windows: Edit (Top Menu) → Preferences → Presets tab.
- Click “Show All Other Lightroom Presets” (or “Show Lightroom Presets Folder” in older versions).
- Navigate to the folder named “Lightroom” and then to “Develop Presets”.
- Copy and paste the preset folder(s) into the “Develop Presets” folder.
- Restart Lightroom Classic to see your presets under the Develop module.
Method 2: Direct Import (Mac & Windows)
- Open Adobe Lightroom Classic.
- Go to the Develop module.
- On the left panel, click the “+” icon next to the Presets section.
- Select “Import Presets…” from the dropdown menu.
- Navigate to the folder where you downloaded your presets, select the preset files, and click “Import”.
- Your presets will now appear under the Develop module in the Presets section.

How to Install Lightroom Mobile Presets
Step 1: Install the Lightroom Mobile App
- Download and install Adobe Lightroom Mobile from your app store. (The app is free but requires an Adobe account to use.)
Step 2: Transfer the Presets to Your Mobile Device
- Download the DNG preset files directly to your mobile device.
- If you downloaded them on a computer, transfer the files to your mobile device using AirDrop, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, or similar services.
Step 3: Import the Presets into Lightroom Mobile
- Open Lightroom Mobile.
- Tap the “Add Photos” button and select the DNG files from your device.
- Once imported, open a DNG file in Lightroom Mobile.
- Tap the ellipsis menu (three dots) in the top right corner and select “Create Preset”.
- Name your preset and choose the settings to include. Then save the preset.
- Repeat for all the DNG files.
Step 4: Apply the Presets to Your Photos
- Open a photo in Lightroom Mobile.
- Tap the Presets option at the bottom of the screen.
- Your saved presets will appear under “User Presets”. Select a preset and apply it to your photo.
PLEASE NOTE:
Certain settings, such as exposure, saturation, and white balance, are not included in the presets. These settings depend on factors such as your camera, lighting, and personal style.
You may need to adjust these settings for optimal results depending on the specific characteristics of your photo.
